Janggi (Korean chess)
한국어Keep your general safe inside the palace, and drive your chariots, cannons, horses, elephants and soldiers to capture the enemy general and win. That is Janggi, Korean chess. What makes this board different is that you choose one extra rule for the day and lay it on top.
Three of the 4 candidate rules are drawn for the day. You ban one and pick one. Everyone gets the same three on the same day, so what you ban and what you pick is where the skill is.
No account, no loot boxes. Judging and your record are always free.

How this board works
There is no randomness. The candidates are set by the date, and the opponent always plays the same moves on the same board. A lost game is not bad luck but the wrong order of moves, so memorizing the board makes you better.
There is no checkmate. Nobody calls check, so you may play with your general exposed, and you win only by actually capturing the opponent's general. This follows the rules of our original augmented chess as they are.
A rule never kills the board. Whatever rule is on top, the board should never get locked up and end. We measured this with balance simulations and left out the rules that did not hold up.
We do not count days in a row. We say nothing about the days you did not come.
